The dismantling of USAID has cut vital programs for disease prevention, treatment, and food aid, leaving many, including those in Ethiopia, without support. Through self-funding and the help of friends and family, I’m able to train people and distribute water purification supplies in Ethiopia. Below are items needed for distribution.
Celestron Digital Microscope with 180° TFT LCD Display
Magnification and LED display are used to illustrate the microbes in untreated water and purification by adding sodium hypochlorite produced by a SWIM or MSR unit. Capable of recording video or photos.
SWIM purification kits
A solution of water and salt is passed through a unit powered by a 12V/10A electrical source to produce sodium hypochlorite solution which can used to purify contaminated water -10 drops to a liter. With enough power, one unit can produce enough solution for hundreds of people in less than a hour. Includes a test kit, bottles and connections.
Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Batteries
These are used to power the SWIM or MSR units. Can be charged using solar panels or 110VAC/220VAC AC-to-DC charger.
Bioenno rechargeable power pack 160 Watt hours
Capable of producing 12V/10A output and be recharged via power supply or solar panel.
220 to DC 12V 30A 360W Universal Regulated Switching Power Supply
Transformer Adapter -used to power the units when electricity is available.

Wiring kits, 100ml distribution bottles, droppers, and solar panels.
